In 2000, the e39 got a few cosmetic improvements, better park distance control and one lighting change that would forever define the e39′s presence at night – a semi circle surround around the self levelling xenon low beam headlight. In 2001 BMW kept the 394-horsepower known as the “s62″ the same for the e39 M5.
