E39 M5 Video
Here is a collection of hand picked E39 M5 videos from dyno tests, exhaust sound checks, the famous Guy Ritchie commercial, the original BMW commercial - all noteworthy productions we feel have earned their place in E39 M5 history. While other pages on this site about listings of the e39 m5 for sale, this page is about indulging in the video inspiration some very talented and passionate people have applied to make these productions.
This car remains an icon in performance car history and nothing does it better justice than video from the manufacturer, its passionate owners, tuners and journalists.
This video is the original BMW e39 M5 video released by the manufacturer in 2000. It was eventually pulled by the automaker because it reportedly made the car seem "too fast". Remember - NOTHING like it had ever been built to date. Anyway, it's an AWESOME video production that conveys the entire message powerfully, elegantly and with lasting impact without words, music or any of the other requisite advertising baggage.

Sweet video of an e39 m5 cornering, then full throttle to redline in second and third gears - killer m5 exhaust sound fades to black and then to something unexpected...morphs into a professionally produced video about the God of all sedans - the Beast is back!!!

This is an incredible dyno test video of an Alpine White e39 M5 with custom painted BBS LeMans wheels. We owe the video producer and Rogue Engineering a debt of gratitude for sharing this insanely beautiful sounding BMW E39 M5 on a dyno run. This beast has Britalman exhaust and hi-flow cats. Enjoy this sound - we listen to it over and over!

Here is the video done with the E39 M5, Clive Owen, Madonna as part of a six-part ad campaign series by BMW and Guy Ritchie. It's fun and offers some great stunt driving footage of a silver 2002 with two tone black and grey interior with the brushed aluminum trim inserts. This video was actually shot with two cars - the stunt car was in fact a UK version with right hand drive being driven by a stunt driver while the camera focused tightly on Clive Owen and a mock left hand drive dashboard and steering wheel during the stunt and drift segments.
The second car used was a North American left hand drive version used for the more common driving segments.
